The Zerbe Health and Wellness Center is home to friendly and qualified health professionals who have chosen to serve the needs of our college students. Nurses are available daily, and doctors and counselors are accessible by appointment at no charge. All information is treated with strict confidentiality in compliance with state and federal laws.
The Center is available for treating illnesses and minor injuries and is staffed by registered nurses during open hours. Students may drop in to the center without an appointment for evaluation by a nurse.
Physician or physician assistant hours are offered by appointment and are provided by UPMC/Family Healthcare Partners of Grove City, Pa. In most instances, a same day appointment is available for illness or injury. Please note that the center does not do entrance physicals or routine physicals for employment, study abroad, or camps.
There are no charges for services provided at the center, and a variety of over-the-counter medications and first aid and orthopedic supplies are also available to students free of charge.
For the 2020 fall semester beginning August 24 and until further notice:

In order to reduce exposure, most visits for illness that include complaints with symptoms that may be consistent with COVID-19 will be scheduled with the physician or nurse practitioner. Please call the health center by 2 p.m. so that a same day appointment can be given.
Students requesting a routine appointment with the physician or nurse practitioner for non-illness or injury may be scheduled for a virtual telehealth appointment slot during our regular physician hours. Examples of appointments eligible for telehealth visits include prescription review and renewal, review of lab results, counseling referrals, requests for routine lab tests, concussion or other follow up, discussion of ongoing non urgent complaints. Please call the health center to discuss whether your visit should be in person or telehealth and an appointment will be scheduled for you. You will be given instructions on how to sign in for your telehealth appointment.
