The Bookstore staff is committed to ensuring that students are prepared for the first day of class with the proper supplies materials at affordable prices.
The Bookstore works as a liaison between faculty and publishers in order to find the most affordable textbooks that provide stimulating and inspiring academic content as defined by the faculty.
The Bookstore is owned and operated by the College, meaning it operates as a nonprofit entity. Profit margins are kept low, and all Bookstore profits are reinvested into the College to help keep the cost of tuition down. This enables the Bookstore to contribute to community and campus charities and to provide employment opportunities to students.
In addition to course materials, the Bookstore sells logo apparel and gifts, office supplies, printer ink, electronic devices, and convenience items such as health and beauty aids, snacks, and postage stamps.
A 5% discount is given to students on all purchases using Crimson Cash. For other special offers and the latest news, follow the Bookstore on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram(gccbookstore).

Students can purchase their textbooks in the Bookstore or pre-order them at bookstore.gcc.edu and pick them up when they arrive on campus. Students also have the option to choose from used or new textbooks, rental textbooks, or e-books.
At the beginning and end of each semester, the Bookstore offers textbook buyback. During these times, students can sell their books to the Bookstore, no matter where they were originally purchased, for up to 50% of the Bookstore’s selling price for those books.
Extended hours are offered during special events such as Crimson Days, Homecoming, and Family Weekend.
