Grove City College is excited to further discuss the transfer credit process, and we know how important it is for students to understand if and how previous coursework transfers. To help you understand how we transfer credits, and to search for previously completed evaluations, please review all the information and tools below.
The process begins with the Transfer Evaluation System.
The Transfer Evaluation System tool is used to list courses that have already been accepted as eligible transfer credit and provide you with the Grove City equivalency. Search the database by school to see if your course is listed.
If you do not see an institution or specific course listed, please email transfers@gcc.edu to submit additional information for evaluation, such as a course syllabus, along with the Unofficial Transfer Credit Evaluation Form.
An official transcript* from each school’s Registrar’s Office must be sent directly to:
Registrar’s Office Grove City College 100 Campus Drive Grove City PA 16127-2104
*Electronic delivery is preferred
Grove City College accepts credits for transfer from any college or university that is accredited by a regional accrediting body, provided the grade earned is "C" or higher. Grades for transfer courses do not enter into the computation of a student's quality point average at Grove City College; however, the credits earned will count toward the total credits required for graduation.
Current Grove City students that plan to take a course at another institution should refer to the off-campus study process posted in myGCC. Students can complete the off-campus study form to initiate the process and email it to transfers@gcc.edu. You will use the same Transfer Evaluation System to find the course(s) that have previously been evaluated to complete the form.
Current or former students interested in transferring Grove City College credit to another school should begin the process by requesting an official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse. Additional information can be found on the Transcript Request page.
