A Message from the New President

As a student, my life was transformed through Grove City College and I experienced the joy of working hard to pursue excellence in a Christian community. I am honored to return and ensure that future generations of Grove City College students will receive the Christian, conservative, academically excellent, affordable education that profoundly shaped me.

There’s never been a more important time for a school like Grove City College. Our singular combination of institutional freedom and academic excellence that takes place in a Christian community makes us a beacon of light and a bastion of hope for our country’s future.

About Brad Lingo

After earning his J.D., with honors, from Harvard Law School, Lingo served as a law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He was a litigation partner at King & Spalding LLP and practiced law with the global law firm Gibson Dunn before joining the faculty of Regent University School of Law, where he later became dean. He has led Regent Law to set records for enrollment, median incoming GPA and LSAT scores, U.S. News rankings, and employment outcomes.

"Brad brings a vibrant commitment to Christian orthodoxy, tight alignment with the College’s conservative vision and character, extraordinary professional experience and sophistication, and a keen understanding of higher education and the challenges and opportunities facing Grove City College." Edward D. Breen '78, Chairman
Grove City College Board of Trustees

The Future of GCC

As an institution grounded in permanent ideas and conservative values and committed to the foundations of a free society, Grove City College develops leaders of the highest proficiency, purpose, and principles ready to advance the common good.

Lingo will assume presidential duties this summer and will be formally installed as president during the 2025-26 academic year. The board and staff will work with Lingo over the coming months to meet with members of the community and support him and his family as they move to Grove City College and transition into the role.

As Grove City enters a new chapter of leadership, support from our students, faculty and alumni is crucial. Join us in encouraging President-elect Lingo and his family as they join us on campus and remain prayerful and hopeful for continued flourishing of our great school.

“I have had the privilege of experiencing firsthand Brad Lingo’s commitment to defending constitutional principles, strengthening academic excellence, and equipping Christian students to faithfully live out their callings in all aspects of their lives. “Christian higher education today faces complex challenges ranging from the ‘demographic cliff’ pressing in on all colleges and universities to wider cultural pressure to compromise on Christian principles. Forming young men and women for service to their churches, their communities, their workplaces, and their nation has perhaps never been more difficult or more important. To lead at such a time requires clarity of vision, a degree of courage, and an earnest commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Brad Lingo brings all three to Grove City College, along with an impressive record of academic leadership. I have no doubt that he is the man to build in a thoughtful and constructive way on the work of Paul McNulty.”

Carl R. Trueman
Professor of Biblical & Religious Studies, Grove City College
Member, Presidential Search Committee

"Preserving religious freedom in the United States requires educating future generations to understand, appreciate, and defend the liberties enshrined in the U.S. Constitution and inspired by our founding documents. Brad Lingo is deeply rooted in these timeless principles, and Grove City College is one of our nation’s preeminent institutions preparing the next generation to boldly contend for truth in law, policy, and the public square. I look forward to seeing Grove City’s contributions to our nation’s strength continue and grow under his leadership."

Kristen Waggoner

"Brad Lingo has been an outstanding part of our University leadership and one of the finest Deans with whom I have had the honor to work. Subsequent to his exceptional career in law, he quickly emerged as a gifted academic leader, administrator, and member of our faculty. Admired and loved by students, faculty, and other leaders alike, he has inspired his school to ever higher levels of excellence for God’s glory. During his tenure, Regent Law was simultaneously recognized as one of the fastest-rising law schools in national rankings and one of the most devout. We look forward to how God will bless his leadership as he humbly and prayerfully moves into his presidential role."
