The Area Artists Exhibit, an annual event that marks its 24th year at the gallery, runs from Sept. 6 to Oct. 1, 2016. An artists’ opening reception featuring food and live music will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the gallery. The exhibit and artists’ opening reception are free and open to the public. The exhibition will feature a variety of art, from mixed media, painting, drawings, pottery, sculpture and photography, created by 23 artists based in western Pennsylvania. Gallery hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. For more about the visual arts at Grove City College, visit www.gcc.edu/comm.
