Pew Gallery showcases regional artistic talent

Grove City College will showcase the talents of nearly two dozen regional artists this month in the Gallery of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.

The Area Artists Exhibit, an annual event that marks its 24th year at the gallery, runs from Sept. 6 to Oct. 1, 2016. An artists’ opening reception featuring food and live music will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the gallery. The exhibit and artists’ opening reception are free and open to the public.

The exhibition will feature a variety of art, from mixed media, painting, drawings, pottery, sculpture and photography, created by 23 artists based in western Pennsylvania.

Gallery hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
