Wind Ensemble brings ‘Screens’ to the stage

The Grove City College Wind Ensemble will kick off Homecoming week with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the historic Crawford Hall Auditorium on campus.

The concert, titled "Screens," will feature music from movies and video games, including soundtrack highlights from “The Chronicles of Narnia,” “Sogno di Volare” from the game "Civilization IV," and music by John Williams from "E.T.," "Star Wars," and other films.

The concert is free and open to the public. It will be livestreamed at gcc.edu/livemusic.

The Wind Ensemble, directed by Professor of Music Dr. Andrew Erb, is the select wind band on campus. A smaller group in the vein of the traditional open instrumentation style of wind ensembles, it performs literature of the highest caliber in the wind band repertoire.
