Grove City College’s Board of Trustees has elected three new members.
The new Trustees, all alumni of the College, are accomplished professionals whose talents will enhance the already-deep pool of knowledge and experience guiding Grove City College. The new Trustees will take office in July. They are:
• Allyson Baird Sveda ’88 – Director of Development at Coalition for Christian Outreach, a college ministry that serves students on 116 campuses in the mid-Atlantic region.
• Doug Wicker ’88 – Head of Corporate Banking Centralized Underwriting at PNC, a diversified financial services company engaged in retail banking, corporate and institutional banking, asset management and global fund processing services.
• Lisa Adams Gordon ’78 – Award-winning television reporter and weekend anchor for Erie News Now on WICU 12 and WSEE. Gordon serves as the alumni trustee, representing the College’s 27,000-plus member Alumni Association.
The Board also granted Trustee Emeritus status to Henry W. Hopeman, who has served with distinction as a Trustee since 1998.
The Board of Trustees are charged with leading the vision of Grove City College. The Board and its smaller committees meet several times a year to develop and implement the College’s way forward. Its members work closely with administration, staff, faculty and students to ensure that the College continues to offer a rich academic experience at an amazing value in a Christian community of learners.
