I still remember the day, over 20 years ago, when my college roommate connected his computer to the Internet for the first time. Needless to say, your journey will be different from mine. Information is abundant and voices from every corner of cyberspace claim to know the way. The call of God is difficult to discern at times. As a great poet once said, “live the questions now.” Visit as many colleges as possible. Talk to professors and students, eat in the cafeteria, check out the dorms. Fit is crucial for persistence and success in higher education. College is not a commodity.

Grove City College altered my trajectory. They taught me how to be a thinker, perceiving the world through the lens of my Christian worldview. I spent most of my early life as a seeker, growing up in the Church but not understanding how the love of God can transfigure the world. I became a Christian just before I graduated in 1997.

You have been uniquely created. I look forward to learning more about you and helping you to navigate your college search.

Favorite Scripture
Isaiah 53:3 - He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Favorite College Memory
I met my future wife when I was a junior here. It is hard to pick one moment, but I love to think about the first conversation we had during an on-campus dance. I had never met anyone like her before (or since).

Favorite Activity On-campus
I love to take my girls to praise and worship before chapel services.
