The Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College welcomes author and Constitutional scholar Clarke Forsythe to campus at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in Sticht Auditorium in the Hall of Arts and Letters to discuss the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide.
Forsythe is the acting president and senior counsel of Americans United for Life and a prolific writer. His most recent book is “Abuse of Discretion: The Inside Story of Roe v. Wade.” Dr. Paul Kengor, executive director of the Center for Vision & Values and a professor of political science, calls the 2013 tome “the seminal work on the inside history of Roe.”
Forsythe has argued cases before federal and state courts and has testified before Congress and state legislatures. He has written widely on pro-life policy issues, having published more than 19 law review articles and book chapters, as well as articles in First Things, The Wall Street Journal, and National Review Online. Clarke has a B.A. in political science from Allegheny College, a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law, and an M.A. in bioethics from Trinity International University, where he is an adjunct professor of bioethics.
