The Princeton Review designated Grove City College as one of its Best Value Colleges for 2024, placing the College among a select group of higher education institutions that offer a valuable education and a great return on investment.
“This recognition speaks to the value that Grove City College offers students – an excellent, affordable, Christ-centered education that sets them on a path of career success. It’s clear that students can reap abundant material rewards from their time on campus, but the ultimate value – and best return on investment – of a Grove City College education is a moral grounding in transcendent values that equip them to be servant leaders and champions of freedom,” College President Paul J. McNulty ’80 said.
Just 209, or five percent, of the nation’s nearly 4,000 degree-granting institutions earned best value status, which is based on more than 40 data points that cover academics, affordability, career preparation, and alumni salary data.
Schools that made the cut earned the highest return on investment (ROI) ratings. Grove City College’s ROI rating of 89 – out of 99 – is based on academic selectivity and admissions, student surveys, financial aid awards, cost of attendance, student debt, and data from PayScale.com collected from alumni surveys covering starting and mid-career salaries and job satisfaction.
“Students who attend these schools don't have to mortgage their futures to pay for their degrees—and we believe they will graduate with great career prospects,” according to The Princeton Review.
Grove City College is highly recommended, said Rob Franek, Editor-in-Chief of The Princeton Review. Best Value Colleges share three compelling distinctions: outstanding academics, stellar career services, and impressive commitments to affordability via generous financial aid and a comparatively low sticker price, Franek said.
Long-known for its commitment to affordability, Grove City College’s annual tuition of $21,700 is well-below the cost of comparative private colleges and most students receive need- or merit-based aid. Within six months of graduation, 95% of alumni are employed or pursuing graduate degrees. Alumni earnings are in the top 14% nationally, according to PayScale, which reports an average career salary of $68,000, mid-career earnings of $130,700 and a 20-year-ROI of $560,000.
In addition to Grove City College’s Best Value status, it is one of The Princeton Review’s Best 389 Colleges, Best in the Mid-Atlantic region, and is ranked 18th nationally for Best Student Support and Counseling Services by the national education services company.
