The Princeton Review has again named Grove City College one of the best in its new “The Best 390 Colleges” guide for 2025.
Schools selected for inclusion in the guide represent the top 15% of the nation’s colleges and universities, based on a variety of student-centered metrics, including cost, value, academics, and quality of life that are rigorously evaluated by The Princeton Review.
Outstanding academics, interesting professors, Christian community, high quality campus life, and an unwavering focus on student flourishing are among the factors that students value most about Grove City College, according to the educational services and test preparation company.
“It’s important for students to know that Grove City College measures up when it comes to quality and value. This recognition by The Princeton Review demonstrates that it doesn’t just measure up, but stands out,” College President Paul J. McNulty ’80 said. “Our distinctive, Christ-centered living and learning experience provides students with the knowledge, skills, and wisdom to succeed and serve the common good.”
The College is regularly recognized in The Princeton Review’s guides. It represents the gold standard for evaluating American colleges and universities. The Princeton Review also identifies the College as a Best Value choice for prospective students and one of the Best Colleges in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review and author of the guide, said the colleges that are profiled are “truly a select group.” The educational services and test prep company relies on empirical data and student survey responses to choose the schools that are profiled – but not ranked – in the annual guide.
According to the guide, Grove City College “provides a Christ-centered, non-sectarian environment in which students and faculty ‘create a vibrant and uplifting community that encourages one another to live to the fullest in a Christ-like manner.’ … And, this philosophy works: ‘The majority of the students here apply their spiritual relationship with God to all activities on campus, whether it be academic or social.’ The low cost of tuition is just gravy, as is the strong alumni network and ‘really good reputation with employers.’”
The College got high marks for: a faculty that is interesting (91/99) and accessible (96/99); an excellent quality of life (90/99) reflecting how happy students are outside the classroom; and a high return on investment (89/99) based on key post-graduate measures of success, including salary and job satisfaction rates.
