High school music students are invited to the campus of Grove City College on Oct. 12 for Music Major Day.
The admissions event showcases the College’s Department of Music, which offers students five distinct majors in music, music education, music business, music performing arts, and music religion, along with a music minor for students in other disciplines. The College offers instrumentalists and singers ample opportunities and quality facilities to develop their talent and skills.
Music Major Day provides a chance for students to meet with faculty and current music students and learn more about music and life at Grove City College. They’ll have the opportunity to participate in music classes and with one of the College’s ensembles – band, choir or orchestra. High school seniors can also make plans to audition during Music Major Day.
Also on the program are a financial aid workshop, walking tours of campus, lunch with current music majors, a brief concert by trio-in-residence Trio Nova Mundi, and an optional dinner event with Music Department faculty.
Registration is required. For a complete schedule and registration information, visit www.gcc.edu/musicmajorday or call 724-458-2100.
