B.A. in PreK-4 Elementary Education

What have you been doing since graduation?
This is my sixth academic school year teaching second grade.

Why did you choose Grove City College?
It was an overall good fit for me because of the strong Christian community, early elementary teaching degree, liberal arts education, division three sports, and beautiful campus!

How well did Grove City College prepare you to enter the workplace?
Grove City College encouraged me to strive for excellence. Through the humanities curriculum, I learned to be a close reader. This attention to detail has served me well as I teach my own students to read carefully, absorbing the meaning for themselves. The Grove City College education department prepared me to craft lesson plans and teach using research-based strategies. Grove City College gave me the content, strategies, and skills to be a successful teacher.

How would you describe the spiritual environment at Grove City College?
The spiritual environment at Grove City College encouraged my faith.

What is the relationship like between the students and the professors?
The relationship between students and professors was extremely positive. They really got to know me as an individual. I am thankful for the work ethic that my professors developed in me through high expectations and constructive feedback.

What should prospective students know about Grove City College?
I am so thankful for Grove City College and the professors there. It is a wonderful place to spend four of the most formative years of your life. Go and visit!
