Grove City College made PayScale’s top ten list of best value national liberal arts colleges.
The ranking recognizes the College’s incredible record when it comes to graduate outcomes in the working world. It is based on PayScale’s 2016 College ROI (return on investment) report, which looks at the monetary return on a college education based on the cost of attendance, earning potential of alumni or a combination of the two.
PayScale pegs Grove City College’s ROI at $453,000 over 20 years, or annual return of nearly 10 percent. Graduates see an average early career salary of $48,100 a year that rises to an average of $84,700 at mid-career level, according to PayScale. Additionally, the College reports a 97 percent placement rate in jobs or graduate school for alumni within six months of graduation.
The College was number 10 on PayScales Best Value liberal arts list, number 12 for colleges and universities in Pennsylvania and number 65 for private colleges. Other high rankings came in the religious (number 18) and sober (number 4) categories.
Schools in the report “are simply doing a better job of setting their alumni up for success in the job market,” according to PayScale, which found “earning potential in your chosen field, along with the cost of attendance for the schools you're considering, should be part of the equation when whittling down your list of best return on investment colleges.” PayScale is a leading source of compensation software, data and salary profiles
