Grove City College made the top five in Christian Universities Online’s ranking of the nation’s Top 50 Christian Colleges and Universities.
The ranking seeks to highlight intentionally Christian colleges and universities that excel in categories of personal attention to their students, selectivity, readily available financial aid and overall student satisfaction, according to the website that tracks Christian higher education.
The College’s 13:1 student to faculty ratio, financial aid numbers and selectivity, coupled with a 92 percent freshmen retention rate and an 85 percent graduation rate earned Grove City the number 5 spot on the list.
Christian Universities Online considered schools that are either members or eligible for membership in the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities. Grove City College is not a member of the council, but its approach to education is guided by scriptural ethics and Christ’s teachings.
Christian Universities Online also recently declared Grove City College was number one on its list of the 10 Most Beautiful Colleges and Universities in the North, citing its “park-like campus” and “well-executed layout.” The website also noted the College’s neo-gothic inspired architecture and described Harbison Chapel as “impressive … with its high crown steeple, arched doorways and impressive stained-glass windows.”
