GCC Singers-Youth Chorus team up for performance

The Grove City College Singers and the Grove City College Youth Chorus will present a Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 in Harbison Chapel on campus.

The concert is free and open to the public. The concert will also be livestreamed here.

The GCC Singers is a women’s ensemble that performs music of various genres, both sacred and secular. They will be joined by the GCC Youth Chorus, an ensemble of young singers in third through sixth grade. Selections include “In Flanders Fields,” "Hark I Hear the Harps Eternal," “Carry the Light,” “Touch the Sky,” and more.

“I am very excited for the GCC Singers and the young singers of GCC Youth Chorus to share their music with an audience. This is the largest group of GCC Singers we have had. There are 31 GCC Singers and 20 members of the Youth Chorus. The two groups will combine for two songs, and it will be a wonderful moment,” said Professor of Music Dr. Stacy Paparone.

Both groups will be directed by Paparone. The concert will also feature student conductor Austin Aloi ‘25, and accompanists Claire DeArmitt, a College music instructor, and student Derrick Lambert '26.
