Molly’s call to counseling came to her a bit later in life. She spent the first piece of her journey teaching high school English and raising her beautiful family. Over time, she found that she enjoyed listening to WORD 101.5 FM, which played sermons as well as a live counseling segment. As she became more and more interested in the broadcast, she even began to order the books that were discussed. Eventually, her family encouraged her to pursue counseling as a career, and she has since found her place walking alongside students at GCC.
Molly tailors her counseling approach according to the needs of each individual student, first spending time listening to their stories before deciding what course of action will be the most helpful. She enjoys helping students work through anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and many other challenges that come with navigating college life. She believes that it is often through such hardships that God refines us, making us more like Him and enabling us to support and encourage one another.
As a proud grandmother, Molly loves to spend as much time as possible with her family, especially her three granddaughters. You can also find her reading her Bible or filling her lungs with fresh air via some outdoor exercise.
