For Christa, counseling is the perfect way to explore her interest in people and the human mind while using her exceptional listening skills for the benefit of others. Throughout her career so far, she has worked in a variety of environments, including educational support, family therapy, drug and alcohol treatment centers, and programs for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Christa views counseling as an opportunity to help people feel seen, heard, and understood. She seeks to create a space where students can learn more about themselves while also addressing patterns that may be holding them back. Her approach is individualized and person-centered, drawing from different therapy models based on the unique needs of each student.
If students are struggling in any area of their lives, Christa hopes they will consider counseling as an option. It gives them the chance to talk through things they may not feel comfortable discussing with someone they know, and it could be the help they need to take a meaningful step closer to where they want to be.
During her time off, Christa loves catching up on her favorite shows, reading, listening to podcasts, and hosting game nights with family and friends.
