Carol has been helping college students find their paths through life for more than two decades. She participated in campus ministry for many years before eventually turning her attention specifically toward mental health counseling. After putting her skills to work in her own private practice, she came to GCC with the hope of guiding students forward in their journeys to better emotional wellness.
Carol embraces a person-centered, solution-focused approach to counseling. With training in EMDR, her talents are uniquely suited to help students process trauma and cope with PTSD. However, she believes that counseling is not just for those suffering from specific issues. It can be beneficial to all students to get a mental health check-in regularly, just like they would do for their physical health with a doctor or dentist.
Always a believer in the importance of community, Carol loves to host get-togethers in the summer, inviting friends, family, and neighbors to soak up some sunshine and goodwill. On the colder days, though, she prefers the company of her dog, a cozy blanket, and her favorite show, "Call the Midwife."
