Armerding is a folk musician and multi-instrumentalist from Boston who plays acoustic string instruments like the mandolin, acoustic guitar and fiddle. In addition to his solo work, Amerding is one half of the duo The Fretful Porcupine with saxophone player Kevin Gosa and a member of Barnstar! a “bluegrass [band] for people who hate bluegrass.” He is on the faculty of the Traditional Music Project housed at the Real School of Music in Burlington, Mass. The concert is organized and produced by Stonebridge, a student-run campus organization committed to hosting the best artists and producing entertaining concerts.
