The Singers are a women’s ensemble that performs music of various genres, both sacred and secular. This year’s performance will include some seasonal Christmas songs. The group is directed by Dr. Stacy Paparone ’93, associate professor of music. Student Claire DeArmitt ’17, will accompany the choir and conduct one selection. The Pittsburgh Youth Chorus is the region’s premier choral organization for young singers. This summer the chorus teamed up with Grove City College to launch a satellite choir for third-, fourth- and fifth-graders in Mercer, Butler, Venango, Lawrence, Crawford and surrounding counties to provide additional out-of-school music activities.
