Abbi Nicolella / Monday, December 5, 2016 / Categories: All News, Academics, Music College presents Winter Jazz and Christmas Concert Grove City College’s Department of Music presents the 13th annual Winter Jazz and Christmas Concert featuring the College’s Jazz Ensemble and Stage Band at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center. The concert will feature a number of traditional Christmas tunes as well as a variety of big band, popular and jazz favorites. Christmas music will include "Jingle Bells," "Silver Bells," "The Christmas Song," "Sleigh Ride," "Good King Wenceslas" and more. The audience will be treated to an array of Christmas motion lights in a stunning visual and aural experience. The Grove City College Jazz Combo will provide music prior to the concert at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. The Grove City College Jazz Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Joseph J. Pisano ’94, director of bands and professor of music, and features student directors Adam Snowden ’17, Hannah Van Der Eeems ’18, Lindsay Miller, ’18, Cameron Orth ’18 and Philip Hess ‘18.
