Nick Hildebrand / Tuesday, October 3, 2017 / Categories: All Events, Campus, All News, Campus, Academics, Arts & Letters, Music College hosting High School Marching Band Festival Grove City College hosts the inaugural High School Marching Band Festival and Invitational at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at Thorn Field on campus. The festival will feature some of the region’s top high school bands, including: Allegheny-Clarion Junior-Senior High School; Mercer High School; Slippery Rock High School; Sharon High School; Lincoln High School Marching Blue Band; and Grove City High School. The Grove City College Wolverine Marching Band will also perform. “We are excited to host this event and to welcome so many fine young musicians to our field to perform their shows and support music and fine arts,” Dr. Joseph M. Pisano ‘94, Director of Bands and Assistant Chair of the Department of Music at Grove City College, said. The event is free and open to the public. Concessions will be available.
