Grove City College is running down our Top Ten stories of 2021. This story was originally published Nov. 12.
Grove City College is launching a new online Master of Business Administration degree program that promises to empower graduates to ignite their careers with an advanced degree from one of the nation’s top liberal arts colleges.
An MBA can pay huge dividends, with a recent PayScale analysis showing the degree can deliver seven-figure income over the course of a career. The Wall Street Journal reports an MBA is a “graduate degree that pays off,” with most graduates making more than they borrowed within two years.
The College’s accredited 39-credit MBA program is designed for working professionals to secure that valuable credential on their own time and terms. It offers concentrations such as business analytics or entrepreneurship, instruction by faculty with academic and professional expertise, convenient and comprehensive online coursework and periodic on-campus residency events for networking and professional development.
Registration for the new part-time program is now open at gcc.edu/mba with classes beginning this summer.
“We’re excited to launch this innovative and distinctive graduate degree program and provide a means for people at any stage of their careers to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to fulfill their ambitions,” said Dr. Peter Frank ’95, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. “It delivers on the College’s vision to develop leaders of the highest proficiency, purpose, and principles who are ready and able to advance the common good.”
The program is the newest offering from the nationally-ranked Christian college’s Office of Graduate Studies.
The first cohort of MBA students will begin part-time with courses in summer 2022. Future plans for the program have it moving to full time status and candidates may be able to earn their degree in a little more than a year.
The program features invaluable, highly relevant coursework covering accounting, finance, leadership, law, ethics, governance, marketing, economics and other topics essential for advancement. In addition to engaging instruction, MBA students will be able to take advantage of the services and resources of Grove City College’s nationally-recognized Career Services Office.
Graduate courses are taught by Grove City College faculty who are proven leaders and educators in the field. They apply industry experience to theoretical concepts while sharing a conservative, moral and ethical perspective.
Faculty include:
- Dr. Caleb Fuller, a widely published professor of Economics whose work ranges from articles in scholarly journals to the recently published book “No Free Lunch: Six Economic Lies You've Been Taught and Probably Believe.”
- Dr. Christy Crute, associate dean of Graduate and Online Programs, professor of Business Analytics and former global CIO at Ingersoll-Rand, who brings decades of C-suite leadership experience to the classroom.
- Dr. John Smith, a former VP of IT for a national healthcare company with an extensive knowledge of statistical applications of business theory.
