Grove City College once again earned a spot on The Princeton Review’s annual list of America’s Best Value Colleges a distinction shared by just seven percent of the country’s colleges and universities.
“This recognition once again validates what we already know about Grove City College – that it is one of the top colleges in the country. We have been extraordinarily blessed with an outstanding team of scholars, staff, and administrators who tirelessly serve our gifted student body,” College President Paul J. McNulty ’80 said.
Only 209 higher education institutions made the national education services company's 2022 list, which highlights public and private colleges with the highest return on investment (ROI) ratings. Grove City College’s ROI rating is 88/99.
"The schools we chose as our Best Value Colleges for 2022 are a select group: they comprise only about 7 percent of the nation’s four-year undergraduate institutions,” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review. “We commend their administrators, faculties, staff, and alumni for all they are doing to educate their students and guide them to success in their careers.
The Princeton Review analyzed more than 40 data points to calculate the rating. They cover academic offerings, cost/financial aid, career placement services, graduation rates, and student debt as well as alumni salary levels and job satisfaction.
To tally the ROI ratings, the company analyzed school-reported data on academics, cost/financial aid, career services, student debt, and graduation rates. The company also factored in data from PayScale.com surveys of alumni of the schools about their starting and mid-career salaries as well as their job satisfaction.
According to PayScale, Grove City College graduates see a 20-year return on investment of $476,000; an average early career salary of $59,700; and average midcareer earnings of $113,500.
The Princeton Review analyzed data from its surveys of administrators at more than 650 colleges in 2020–21 as well as from its surveys of students attending the schools to report its Best Value Colleges for 2022.
