The concert serves as a showcase for Grove City College’s talented voice students and a way to highlight the genre of classical vocal music. Included on the program are arias and duets from Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro,” “Cosi fan tutte” and “Die Zauberflote,” Delibes’ “Lakme,” Moore’s “The Ballad of Baby Doe,” Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Gondoliers” and Offenbach’s “Faust.”

“We are excited to provide this wonderful performance opportunity for our voice students, and for the audience to hear some fantastic pieces from the operatic repertoire,” Sasha Piastro-Tedford, music lesson instructor in voice, said. “The music on this concert runs the gamut of emotions and musical moods, from the famously gorgeous ‘Flower Duet’ to the glittery and spirited ‘Jewel Song.’ ”
The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be followed by a reception.
