Music students present ‘Diamonds in the Rough’ revue

The Grove City College Department of Music’s Broadway Revue performance “Diamonds in the Rough” is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 in Arnold Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.

“Students are singing solos and duets from shows that did not have a long run on Broadway, but that contain wonderful songs - hence the ‘Diamonds in the Rough’ theme,” Dr. Sasha Piastro-Tedford, vocal instructor of the Department of Music said.

Students taking voice lessons or alumni of the Musical Theater Workshop class will present selections from “Bonnie and Clyde,” “Wonderland,” “Tale of Two Cities,” “Amelie” and other shows.

Grove City College’s Department of Music provides students with preparation for a career in music, private lessons on every instrument, opportunities to perform and hone their skills with a variety of high performing ensembles and the chance to share the glory of music with the campus and community.
