Keith and Kristyn Getty show set for Grove City College

Grove City College is pleased to welcome Keith and Kristyn Getty, the Irish husband-and-wife musicians behind the beloved modern hymn “In Christ Alone” and dozens of other favorites, for a St. Patrick’s Day concert at 7 p.m. March 15 in the College Arena.

Tickets are available at gcc.edu/gettyslive. Group packages are available.

The Gettys are touring behind their latest album “Confessio – Irish American Roots,” which features traditional Irish-melodies and instrumentation, brand-new songs as well as timeless hymns arranged with the Gettys’ signature sound.

The Gettys occupy a unique space as preeminent modern hymn writers and interpreters. In re-inventing the traditional hymn form, they have created a catalogue of songs teaching Christian doctrine and crossing the genres of traditional, classical, folk, and contemporary composition that are sung all over the world.

“In Christ Alone,” written by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend, is sung thousands of times each year in churches around the world. Their hymns are used increasingly both in contemporary and traditional circles and included in most modern hymnbooks. Other great Getty songs include “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death,” “The Power of The Cross,” “By Faith,” and “Speak O Lord.” The Gettys Christmas shows draw thousands and have been featured on PBS stations across the country. Their annual Sing! Getty Music Worship Conference in Nashville, Tenn., brings singers, songwriters, musicians, and leading Christian thinkers together.

Keith and Kristyn Getty will spend the day at Grove City College, holding workshops with students and staff from the Department of Music and Office of Christian Formation, talking with local church leaders, and connecting with the campus community before the concert.
