About Me
I grew up in New Jersey, by the beach! I was homeschooled from 3rd-12th grade; and as the oldest of four, I was the guinea pig who tried a variety of curriculum. Another result of being the oldest child meant I largely had to figure out the college search process on my own. Obviously, my family helped me as much as they could, but it was still daunting to consider all the academic, financial, and numerous other factors at once! Since I graduated high school in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, I finally decided to stay home and enroll in community college while researching further options. By the time I earned my Liberal Arts associates degree in December 2021, things had cleared up enough where I could begin the college search again—but this time as a transfer.

Transferring was a whole new process with new factors to consider—like credit evaluations and program requirements. At the same time, I had realized that I really wanted to attend a Christian college with a rich, hope-filled history program. The secular history classes at my community college had discouraged me with their negative outlook on human history, because they did not have the hope of eternity to add a clearer perspective. However, they also ignited a hunger in me to delve deeper into the study of history and the possibilities of sharing its wonder with others. Grove City provided everything I had been looking for and more. The transfer admissions counselor interviewed me virtually and answered all my questions with so much kindness.

During my time at GCC, I grew exponentially in my understanding of research, writing, collaboration, humility, love, friendship, and evangelism. This was where I was seen and sought after as a unique and valued individual, and I was encouraged to go further in whatever I pursued here. For example, my history professors encouraged me to take part in a humanities conference where I presented research from my senior seminar paper. What was originally way outside my comfort zone became a source of confidence for me.
I’m so grateful I get to come back and encourage future students!
