Grove City College prepares to honor the Class of 2024

Grove City College will hold its 144th Commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, to celebrate the graduation of the class of 2024.

At Commencement, the College will award degrees in the arts and sciences, with more than half of the graduating class earning cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude honors.

Alumnus J. Nicholas Ranjan ’00, federal district court judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania, will deliver the commencement address to the class of 489 career-ready graduates, their families, friends, and the College community.

At 7 p.m. Friday, May 17, the class will worship together at the Baccalaureate service, featuring Dr. Kurt Bjorklund, senior pastor of Orchard Hill Church in Wexford, Pa.

Ranjan and Bjorklund will receive honorary doctorate degrees at Saturday’s Commencement in recognition of their accomplishments and contributions to their fields.

Both ceremonies will take place on the College’s main Quad, weather permitting, and be livestreamed at gcc.edu/livegrad. Rain location for both is the Arena of the Physical Learning Center on campus. Commencement and Baccalaureate are open to the public, but only ticket holders will be admitted to the PLC.

Important updates regarding both ceremonies will be posted on the home page of gcc.edu and at gcc.edu/commencement.
