The Grove City College Department of Music presents a pair of weekend concerts featuring student singers.
At 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, The Grove City College Singers will present a concert in Arnold Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.
The women’s ensemble will perform selections including Natalie Sleeth’s “Joy in the Morning,” Eric Whitacre’s “Sing Gently,” and Susan LaBarr’s “Where the Light Begins.” The Singers are under the direction of Dr. Stacy Paparone, professor of Music, and accompanied by Katherine Hatfield.
At 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, the College’s Concert, Touring, and Chamber choirs will perform a Choral Concert in Harbison Chapel. The choirs are under the direction of Dr. Katherine Mueller, associate professor of Music, and accompanied by College Organist Dr. Bradley Fitch.
The Concert Choir will be singing Handel’s “Messiah,” one of the world’s best-loved pieces of choral music.
Both concerts are free and open to the public and will be livestreamed at gcc.edu/livestream.
