Grove City College’s Fall Choral Concert will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 in Harbison Chapel on campus.
The concert is free and open to the public. A livestream will be available here.
The Concert Choir will perform J.S. Bach's "Magnificat" accompanied by organist Wesley Morgan '26 and directed by Dr. Katherine Mueller, director of Choral Activities. In addition to its exciting choruses, this work, written in 1723, also features beautiful solo and duet movements for soprano, mezzo, tenor, and bass.
The Touring Choir and the 12-voice Chamber Singers will also perform on the program, singing works by John Rutter, Rosephanye Powell, Paul Mealor, Christopher Moore, and Paul Smith.
“Over 100 singers will be part of the performance which includes a wide variety of music from the Baroque era to modern day. Bach’s 'Magnificat’ is one of his most lively works, and features several talented Grove City College soloists,” Mueller said.
Grove City College’s Department of Music provides students with preparation for a career in music, private lessons, opportunities to perform and develop their skills with a variety of high performing ensembles, and the chance to share the joy of music with the campus and community.
