Grove City College will celebrate Light Up Night at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, with the annual lighting of the star atop Rockwell Hall.
The star, which can be seen for miles around campus, represents the star of Bethlehem that heralded Christ’s birth.
Those assembled for the event on the patio of Mary Anderson Pew Hall South will enjoy a traditional Christmas carol sing-a-long led by the College’s Marching Band and Koinonia/Gospel Team, and hear from Grove City College President Paul J. McNulty ’80 and James Hayward ’21, chaplain of the College’s Student Government Association, who will offer “Thoughts on Christmas.”
Dean of Harbison Chapel F. Stanley Keehlwetter will recite Luke 2:1-20 and J.M. Lowrie’s “Star in the East” will be read just before the star is lit.
