Grove City College is a “hidden gem” that shines brightest in teacher education, according to College Raptor.
The online college planning forum identified the College as its number one 2020 Hidden Gem Colleges for Teaching and one of just three Pennsylvania schools singled out for distinction in as Hidden Gem in the Northeast. The distinctions, College Raptor asserted, identify Grove City College as “one of the best colleges in the country.”
In selecting Hidden Gems, College Raptor first looks to schools that receive fewer than 5,000 applications and have fewer than 7,000 undergraduate students. Their methodology includes a combination of factors, including graduation rates, campus diversity, endowment per student, and other key metrics as reported via the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) for the most recently available enrollment year.
Grove City College’s Department of Education offers strong degree programs with over 20 diverse majors in the field spanning early childhood to secondary education and has historically produced great teachers who work in public, private and homeschool settings. Last year, the College was selected as a College of Distinction for Teaching.
