The Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College has joined the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA) Oases of Excellence network.
The Center for Vision & Values joins a distinguished group of academic centers nationwide that promote rigorous academic standards and intellectual diversity on college campuses. The members of the Oases of Excellence network share a steadfast commitment to educating undergraduates for informed citizenship in a free society. They introduce students to the best of the foundational arts and sciences, the American heritage, and the free exchange of ideas.
Since 2005, the Center for Vision & Values has been a leading forum for the study of liberty and freedom as they pertain to economics, politics, religions, and science issues. Under the leadership of Jeffrey Trimbath, Executive Director, and Dr. Paul Kengor, Senior Chief Academic Fellow, the Center promotes the principles of faith and freedom to the next generation of American leaders, and shares those principles with the wider world.
“The accelerated growth of ACTA’s Oases of Excellence network is proof that our students are eager to receive an academically challenging, intellectually diverse college education,” ACTA President Michael Poliakoff said. “The Center for Vision & Values provides a unique, rigorous academic experience in which students develop the necessary skills and knowledge for informed and engaged citizenship—we look forward to partnering with this vibrant academic center.”
