Ayers’ book asks, answers key marriage questions

Grove City College Sociology Professor Dr. David J. Ayers’ latest work tackles the question that also serves as its title: “Why Would Anyone Get Married?”

The new book provides an overview of marriage as “a foundational, creational, life-giving, and lovely institution created by God for His glory and the good of mankind,” Ayers said.” It offers an in-depth exploration of the meaning and beauty of each of the fundamental purposes of marriage: mutual support, child-rearing and procreation, and sexual fulfillment.”

Each chapter tackles common problems and issues that married couples face, includes questions for discussion and reflection, and directs readers toward biblical solutions. It is designed for use by couples, small groups, Sunday School classes, or as a resource for churches.

Ayers was commissioned to write the book by Modern Reformation Magazine’s Core Christianity Project, which timed its release around Valentine’s Day.

“Why Would Anyone Get Married?” is available on Amazon and other booksellers.
