'All My Sons' returns to campus stage for special show

Hot off its revival at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, Grove City College’s production of the Arthur Miller classic “All My Sons” is being brought back to campus for a final performance on Friday, Jan. 25.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus. No tickets will distributed for the free show and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Originally performed in March 2018, “All My Sons” was selected to be staged at the Kennedy Center Region 2 festival at Montclair State University in New Jersey last weekend. The invitation came in early January and Theater Director and Professor English Betsy (Boak ’77) Craig and the cast and crew of the show reunited over winter break to re-stage the play. In just a few days they rehearsed and rebuilt the set for a larger stage than the Little Theater in Pew Fine Arts Center in which it was originally presented.

“Since we rebuilt the set and there was demand for another performance, we decided we would bring it back so it can close at our home stage,” Craig said.

Craig called the invitation to the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival an honor. The program celebrates the best in American collegiate theater. Three of the College’s productions have been invited to the festival since 2009.
