Grove City College’s upcoming Family Weekend provides a public showcase for the arts on campus, with a series of Music Department concerts, the Spring Orchesis dance show, One-Acts, and All-College Sing.
Orchesis gets a jump on the weekend, opening at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 24 in the Arena of the Physical Learning Center on campus. The theme of this year’s student dance show is “All Roads Lead Home.” The show will be reprised at 8 p.m. Friday, April 25 and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27. Orchesis is free and open to the public. The Saturday show will be livestreamed at gcc.edu/livedance.
Friday features multiple events, beginning with the Wolverine Venture Battle from 1 to 4 p.m. in Sticht Lecture Hall, Staley Hall of Arts and Letters. The annual venture pitch competition boasts a record $38,000 prize pool.
At 7:30 p.m. Friday the Symphonic Concert Band and Wind Ensemble will present a concert in Ketler Auditorium of Pew Fine Arts Center. The concert will feature works by John Philip Sousa, Brian Balmages, Franz von Suppé, Frank Ticheli, and others. In addition to the music, the College will honor its graduating senior band members, recognizing their contributions and celebrating their final performance as undergraduates. The Arnold Family Scholarship Award will also be presented during the evening.

The Student Art Exhibit in the Pew Fine Arts Center is open from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Alpha Psi Omega One Acts debut at 5 p.m. Friday in The Little Theatre of Pew Fine Arts Center, with an encore performance of the short plays at 2 p.m. Saturday.
On Saturday, visitors can enjoy a pair of daytime concerts. The Grove City College Singers will perform at 11 a.m. in Arnold Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center. The women’s ensemble will embrace the theme of “Darkness and Light,” with songs about stars and darkness leading to the dawn and sunlight.
The College Jazz Ensemble and Stage Band will play at 1:30 p.m. in Ketler Auditorium.
All College Sing, a family weekend highlight that pits Grove City College’s Greek and housing groups in a friendly competition, is set for 7 p.m. Saturday in the Arena of the Physical Learning Center on campus. Livestream available at gcc.edu/liveevents.
A Sunday concert featuring the combined Concert Choir and Touring Choirs caps the weekend’s musical lineup at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Harbison Chapel on campus. They will perform Maurice Duruflé's Requiem, accompanied by a chamber orchestra and retired College Organist Dr. Richard Konzen back on the organ. It will feature student soloists Hannah Garry '25 and Liam Cummings '26.
