Grove City College’s new deal with Under Armour and BSN SPORTS ensures Wolverine student-athletes will continue to be outfitted with quality uniforms, practice gear and equipment.
Student-athletes have been wearing updated red crimson and white Under Armour uniforms since 2016. Over the course of the initial five-year deal with the athletic suppliers, all of the College’s 23 NCAA Div. III varsity teams' uniforms have been refreshed to reinforce the Wolverines Together spirit of the distinctive collegiate athletic program.
The College has agreed to an extension of the initial deal, under which the athletic program will be increasingly incentivized for academic and on field success, Athletic Director Todd D. Gibson ’02 said.
“Our goal at Grove City College is to deliver a first class athletic experience to our nearly 500 student athletes. Over the past five years our relationship with Under Armour and BSNSPORTS – the nation’s largest sporting goods supplier – has provided us the opportunity to outfit our athletes with top notch uniforms, practice gear and equipment,” Gibson said. “Both UA and BSN have proven to be consistent partners as we strive to compete with the top athletic programs in the nation.”
Through the agreement, the College will partner with STX Lacrosse and Maverick/Cascade Lacrosse, premier lacrosse brands in the world, to equip student-athletes in that sport. “We’re excited to be able to support our men’s team and to help our women’s team get off on the right foot in their first varsity season and beyond as we strive to compete on the national level in both men’s and women’s lacrosse,” Gibson said.
“Our longstanding relationship with Grove City College and its incredible athletic department is very important to us, and we’re beyond excited to continue our partnership for many years to come” said Todd Northrop, vice president of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select. “Not only will we provide the finest apparel and athletic products to all athletes associated with Grove City College athletics, but we’ll also work tirelessly with coaches to put time back into their day so they can spend more time impacting students’ lives on the field or court”
