On Fridays, chapel programming is designed to provide Christian nurture. Students are provided with options so that they can choose which program will foster their own growth and vitality.
All students are welcome to attend the Prayer Gathering in Harbison Chapel on Friday mornings at 11 a.m. Friday prayer services participate with God’s Word through the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, in which we read, sing, pray, and meditate on Scripture together.
All students are welcome to attend the All-Campus Bible Study which is held on Friday mornings at 11 a.m. in Sticht Auditorium. The venue makes breaking into smaller groups difficult, so this study focuses on the reading, analysis and reflection upon a book of the Bible. The Fall 20024 study will begin with the book of Colossians for seven weeks and then turn to an analysis of various parables of Jesus for the remainder of the semester.
A Fiver is a five-week mini-series led by a Grove City College educator. A dozen or so Fivers are launched at the start of each semester, and then halfway through the semester a new batch of Fivers is launched. Our venues limit the size of these groups, and the aim is also to limit the size to maximize relationship building between the educator and the student and among the students present. Students must sign up for these Fivers before they begin so that we can arrange the location and have materials ready for each session.
