Grove City College is committed to providing equal access to College housing for individuals with documented disabilities. The Director of Disability Services works in collaboration with the Director of Residence Life to determine appropriate and reasonable accommodations.
Students who wish to request housing accommodations should refer to the Housing Accommodation Policy. Documentation of the disability as well as a formal meeting with the Disability Services Office will determine if the request is reasonable. Students may request a housing accommodation at any time, however, requests made and/or approved after the deadlines below may not be able to be implemented until the next housing cycle. If an adequate room becomes available sooner, the student approved for a housing accommodation would be prioritized for placement in such space. It is strongly recommended that the online application and all supporting documentation be submitted for consideration well in advance of the priority deadline.

Although it is the policy of Grove City College that animals of any kind are prohibited from any type of College housing, the College will consider requests for an emotional support animal by an individual with a significant mental health disability in accordance with the Fair Housing Act.
Emotional support animals are NOT permitted in College housing at any time without first receiving approval from the Disability Services Office. Individuals found with an unauthorized animal in College housing are subject to disciplinary sanctions.

Grove City College will amend the current no pet policy for the presence of a service animal as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) if a student’s disability requires such assistance while on campus and in College housing.

Grove City College seeks to support students with unique and specific dietary needs due to a diagnosed condition or upon the recommendation of the student’s medical provider. Conditions which may be the basis for dietary accommodations include, but are not limited to, severe food allergies, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. The Disability Services Office will work with the College’s food services provider to determine appropriate and reasonable accommodations.
Students who wish to request dietary accommodations should complete the application to request accommodations (on the menu to the right). Documentation of the need for dietary accommodations and a meeting with the Disability Services Office and/or a representative of the food services provider will determine the best path forward.
