Campus & Public Safety

 

The mission of the Office of Campus Safety is to maintain a safe and secure campus environment that is conducive to academic, social, and spiritual growth.

The Director of Campus Safety reports to the Vice President of Student Life and Learning and works closely with Student Life and Learning and other departments to offer students a safe and secure campus environment. The College enjoys a close, cooperative relationship with state and local police agencies. Criminal conduct by a student or employee is grounds for immediate suspension or dismissal.

The campus is monitored 24 hours a day by safety personnel on foot, in vehicles, and on bicycles. The department responds to the campus emergency extension at 724-458-3000 24 hours a day and monitors fire alarm, sprinkler, and intrusion alarm systems.

 

Electronic card access systems secure residence halls and other campus buildings. Emergency phones and CCTV cameras are located throughout campus and in most parking lots.
