Program Specifics
  • Curriculum requirements – 67 major credit hours of rigorous undergraduate coursework to prepare you for professional success. For detailed descriptions of courses, view the College Catalog.
    • As an HRM major, you will explore topics such as personnel recruitment and selection, EEO laws and regulations, performance management, workplace psychology, dispute resolution, retention strategies, organizational theory, and employee compensation and benefits. You will also be exposed to career opportunities and pathways in human resources, employee benefits and risk management. You will regularly engage with faculty in discussions regarding the application of Christian stewardship and biblical principles to leadership and management in today’s workforce.
    • Through included business core courses, you will also build your background in accounting, financial management, marketing, business law, operations, data analysis, and other relevant areas.
  • Minor options – Flexibility to minor in a business-related or non-business-related field. Pairing this degree with a minor such as marketing, finance, or one of many interdepartmental minors can help align your interests and prepare you for success.
  • Other degree options – If you have an interest in human resources but are unsure about it as a career path, or if you develop an HR interest late in your college career, you may prefer our B.S. in Management with a concentration in human resources — designed with more general management courses and greater scheduling flexibility than the B.S. in Human Resource Management.
