With an accounting degree from Grove City College, you will be able to select your chosen career path via a specific concentration. With the CPA exam concentration, you will be equipped to pass the CPA exam on your first try and make a difference as a relational and trustworthy accountant in this ever-growing field. With concentrations in  nonprofit and corporate accounting, you will be well-prepared to work for organizations of any size in both the for-profit and nonprofit arenas. Your education will be guided by supportive professors, distinguished by rigorous coursework built on a biblical foundation, and directed by curriculum which reflects the most up-to-date business needs. Whether you are called to public accounting, corporate accounting, private accounting, or another career path, you will stand out with in-demand expertise, enduring integrity, and a well-rounded worldview.

In fact, our four-year program was ranked No. 3 in the state of Pennsylvania for first-time CPA pass rates in 2023 and No. 4 of the Top 10 Christian Accounting Degree Programs.

  • Preparation for certification opportunities – Prepare to obtain credentials to become certified as a public accountant, a managerial accountant, an internal auditor, a fraud examiner, or  any number of other advanced professional certifications.
  • Exceptional CPA exam pass rate – In 2023, Grove City College accounting students’ pass rate was 9% higher than the national average, ranking us as the third best accounting program in Pennsylvania for CPA first-time test takers (among medium-sized schools).

Program Specifics
  • Course requirements – 70 credit hours of rigorous coursework balancing breadth and depth to give you a solid foundation in accounting principles with freedom and guidance to find your passion — whether you feel called to financial accounting and reporting, managerial accounting, accounting information systems, auditing, or tax, government, nonprofit, or corporate accounting.   • Excellent exam preparation – Succeed on the CPA and CMA exams, through updated curriculum and additional coursework, including data analytics.
  • Tailor your degree – Pursue your specific professional goals via your choice of major elective courses.
  • Career-accelerating option – Double major by adding a B.S. in Finance or B.S in Business Analysis to your accounting degree.
    • If you plan to become a certified public accountant, our double majors provide excellent opportunities to obtain the 150 credit hours required for CPA licensure. Explore our dual majors in Accounting & Finance and Accounting & Business Analysis.
    • Pursuing an M.S. in Accounting is an additional path students can take to achieve those 150 credit hours required for the CPA license.
