Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Sociology students practice and develop knowledge through a variety of research opportunities, including independent studies and research assistantships with faculty. Students can select honors and seminar courses tailored to particular interests and career goals.

Majors in sociology participate in a capstone colloquium in their discipline which culminates in student research projects, and both majors present their research at academic conferences, including:

• Pennsylvania Sociological Society
• Northeast Ohio Undergraduate Sociological Symposium
