Education Career Services

The Office of Education Career Services, located within the Department of Education, is exclusively designed for education majors seeking PreK-12 positions.

The office offers outstanding career development and networking opportunities to students and fosters relationships with private, public, charter, and international schools as well as other education employers. Utilizing a comprehensive, developmental approach, the office assists students to:

• Identify strengths and limitations in their teaching.
• Learn about skill evidences and teacher competencies.
• Explore opportunities to enhance teaching skills and develop professionally.
• Understand different types of schools and educational career settings.
• Facilitate the transition for students interested in becoming education majors.
• Work on a one-on-one basis to identify competencies to focus on in their field experiences.
• Write effective resumes and cover letters, build portfolios, and practice interviewing skills.
• Connect with alumni for support and resources.
