Program Specifics

• 33 major credit hours of courses in which you will examine the essential ideas of human thought and ethical action. For detailed course descriptions, refer to the College Catalog.
  • Core requirements include Introduction to Philosophy or Introduction to Ethics, Symbolic or General Logic, Ancient Philosophy, Medieval Philosophy, Modern Philosophy, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, and Philosophy Seminar.
  • Major elective options include Symbolic Logic, General Logic, Bio-medical Ethics, Philosophy of Law, Classical Political Thought, Modern Political Thought, Science and the Human, Studies in Philosophy, Advanced Studies in Philosophy, Political Philosophy and the Christian Intellectual Tradition, C. S. Lewis, and God, Suffering, and Narrative.
• Freedom to double major and/or minor in other disciplines, which is encouraged and common among our students.
