Wolverine Challenge sets record for one-day fundraising

Grove City College’s 2024 Wolverine Challenge was an unqualified success, raising more than $2.9 million for scholarships, campus improvements, and other programs to enhance the student experience.

During a daylong fundraising marathon on Nov. 13, the College’s Advancement staff worked overtime to process thousands of gifts and engage alumni and others in the effort. The final tally of $2,931,190.58 set a record for the annual event in its 10th year.

In addition to the annual Greek Challenge, the effort was augmented by the Paul G. Benedum Jr. Foundation, which provided a $20,000 matching gift for scholarships.

Sigma Theta Chi sorority took top honors for participation, with 19.25% of alumni and active sisters contributing to the Wolverine Challenge. Adelphikos fraternity claimed the prize for raising the most money – $542,312.51.

“We owe a sincere thank you to our amazing donors. Their contributions are transforming the lives of our students and strengthening our College community. Together, we are making a real difference,” said Jeffrey Prokovich ’89, vice president for Advancement.
