Title: Technology Support Temp

Description: The Technology Support Temp position provides hardware, software, and administrative support to the full-time staff and Help Desk Student workers of Computer Services and Support office. These duties may include but are not limited to assisting employees and students with technical issues in person, via telephone, or by other approved communication methods. Logging problems and detailed resolutions via the Help Desk Software. Actively researching resolutions to problems and issues experiences by the campus community. Additionally, this position will assist in the development and implementation of FAQ’s, training, and other self-help resources for students & employees and assist with student equipment distribution.
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a technology-related major; equivalent experience in a technology-intensive field may be considered. A minimum equivalent of six months’ full-time experience in a technology support position and at least two years’ experience with the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office (including experience with the current release of each) is required. The successful candidate must be detailed oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact on a professional basis with a wide range of constituents. The candidate should be able to lift and carry 35-40 lbs. and have the ability to move a four-wheeled cart with a 300-pound load. Ability to work in an open office environment and remain focused in spite of co-workers and/or clients having conversations nearby.
