Position: Assistant Professor of Exercise Science

Grove City College announces a faculty opening in the Department of Exercise Science beginning in July 2021 pending final budget approval. Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Health and Human Performance, Kinesiology, or a related field. Responsibilities include teaching introductory to advanced undergraduate Exercise Science courses in a challenging curriculum and developing innovative pedagogy. Ability and interest in teaching courses in one or more of the following areas will be considered a plus: Nutrition, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Research Methods/Practicum, and Strength and Conditioning.
Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to student-faculty research and are motivated to mentor undergraduate students in research projects.
Grove City College’s Exercise Science program houses several major concentrations, including Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Occupational Therapy, Athletic Training, Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning, Physiological Sciences, and Coaching. The Exercise Science Department includes three faculty as well as over 100 students.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in classroom teaching and a commitment to educating highly motivated students within the context of Grove City College’s historic Christian perspective. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
